Beautiful work!
Couple things to consider:

1. If airbrush still has any, buy a rear hugger from him. Looks cool and helps keep the suspension clean. I haven't found anyone else with a hugger for the GS500 and I have been searching the world (really! the internet is my friend) and haven't found a hugger anywhere else.

2. How are you going to paint it? There are some pretty nice Suzuki stickers and "S" emblems (like on the new bikes) you can buy. Watch ebay and every once in a while original factory stickers are there for not much. Original tank logos are nice because they have a slight curve to match the tank.

3. I see a red tail piece on the floor in your photo. Is that what you're going with? That would look good and matching pieces are on ebay right now. Also tail pieces in other colors and styles - some brand new and some used in nearly new condition.

4. If you've got good tail pieces and were going to paint them - please don't! Factory originals are hard to find but there are plenty of tail pieces in perfect condition that have been previously painted or get ones with scratched logos and paint those. I'd buy those if they are nearly new condition and you were going to paint them. Even if one side is good, it is still with preserving. Often you can find one good side and not the other because the bike was dropped. PLEASE don't paint originals if they are in good condition (like rated as an 80 or better). Someone could even use a scratched one if they have one that is broken. I bought a brand new tank that would look good with them:

I guess I'm into preserving originals from my background of preserving the 1920's Wurlitzer, Moeller, Kimball and Robert Morton theater pipe organs. Too many original parts have been destroyed because someone didn't want to take the time to store them, restore them or find someone who needs it to complete and organ back to original specifications.

If interested, I can help find tail pieces with original logos and point you to the dealers. Or find you ones to paint and I'll buy your good originals.

Impressed that everything on your project is so clean and back to original as much as possible.
