New Ride Video - Overtaking

While approaching the Twisties part of a ride, we came across cars, cars and more cars. Each of them needed overtaking. And the ride stopped being one about riding through the twisties for a bit of fun and became - instead - a bunch of overtaking practice.

New riders to the GS wonder how it does with overtaking. I say it does well. And here's the proof http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pXUfvzSx2k

The camera is a GoPro Wide Angle - not HD. I got the Motorsports Package which comes with suction mount. Here's a couple of pics - the 2nd pic is how I had it mounted for this video (taken at our "thanks for the ride guys, see you next time" final stop)...

The SD version I have shoots 54 minutes at a time onto a 2gig card (the card is then full). I have the new firmware to upgrade it to 2 hours on a 4 gig card - but - I don't trust my rechargeable batteries to last that long, nor that something might go wrong with the firmware upgrade and I lose all function. So I leave it as it came. I do render it pretty high, though.

Couple guys at work bought some HD camera from the US after seeing my vids. On their's... the battery is self contained, no option to select Hi/Lo volume, the back door of the casing can be swapped (vented or totally sealed) and can take a 16 gig card while shooting in widescreen too.

What is that on your speedo in the second picture? Is it a mirror?

Mirror, yes. On the speedo, no.

It's the angle of the image. Look closer, closer, closer and you can Just make out the mirror's arm going down to the handlebar.

I'd originally taken the image so the GS and the Bandit 1250 were in the same shot. Cause they are Very similar in size - length, height, wheelbase.

Oh, I didn't see that the first time. I didn't even see the right side mirror.
