Didn't see anything in the FAQ so I'm posting about it instead.

I bought my GS about 2 years back for savings on fuel, then work moved closer (close enough that I doubt the GS would charge up what it took to start it) and stopped riding very much.

Now it's just been sitting for a couple of months and last time I took it out I had to jump it cause the battery was dead and it took a bit to start but it started and ran fine once it was going.  Went to make sure it was still doing alright today and well it's not.  Hooked it to my car for power and all the lights indictators etc work perfect, but pull the clutch in put the choke on and hit the starter and nothing.  The headlight goes out when I hit the starter but nothing else happens.  No noise at all.

Where should I start on fixing this?  I am also looking to sell it to someone who will actually ride it enough that stuff like this doesn't happen also.  I was planning on getting it serviced at the local shop in about a week and a half so that it was all nice for whomever I sold it to.

I suppose if someone here wanted it and could come pick it up that could be arranged also but I'm assuming I'm stuck in fix it then sell it land. ;)

Thanks in advance!

No noise at all? I would expect a small "click" on the right side of the seat, which would be the starter relay. If this is the case, take the right side cover off to expose the 19mm bolt head on the end of the crank. Turn that slowly. If it is stuck, check for a cylinder full of fluid or something broken.

Well I just got back from the bike and... well I'm an idiot.

First to answer your question, no no noise at all no click, thats why I was all :( earlier.

However I was sitting here after posting that trying to think of all the various things you have to do (It's been a while since I rode the bike) and I never put it in neutral and I had the stand down (but clutch was pulled)

So I grabbed my jumper cables ran down to the bike, ripped the seat off, hooked it to my car, stuck it in neutral, pulled the clutch annnnnnd: She makes noise!  I didn't try to start her up because it's 10 PM and I don't actually want to ride ride now just hit the button long enough to hear the starter motor turn.  I'm sure she'll start up in the morning.  She'll be very upset with me for not starting her in a long time but I'm sure she will start.

You'll probably hear from me if she doesn't :P
