I can login here at work but not at home. Does anybody else have this problem?

So far, John, our most appreciated admin, has suggested the following:

Possible reasons...

The IP for this address is blocked at your work. It is ever more popular to install software that blocks all forums, sex sites, fantasy sports and other places employees waste time. This is very possible.

Otherwise I cannot see why you couldn't login other than your web browser won't accept cookies which is needed to identify who you are when accessing a page.

I have not tried logging in from your home... send me your address and a key, and I'll give it a whirl  :lol:

seriously, I've never had a problem with logging in, no matter where I've tried from.

Originally I thought the problem was logging in at work.  Scratch's problem is from home and he also told me he upgraded to AOL 9.0  :roll:  :nono:   I wonder....

Anyway, what happens when you try to log in?  What exactly does the screen say?

AOL = the Devil

It'll let me log in, but it won't let me post. When i go to post it asks me to log in again. And then it takes me back to the forums, instead of a message box with the icons on the left.

Tried setting cookies on AOL at home and it didn't make a difference. AOL just plain sucks. So does Microsoft, but I don't know how to use UNIX. :P

Have you tried opening IE and using that browser instead of using the browser inside of AOL?  Like logging into AOL, then minimize AOL, go to your start menu and find IE or Netscape , mozilla whatever and try that.

I run AOL 6.0 at home and do exactly as jeff says here-using IE instead of AOL browser. Works fine.

Of course my AOL took a dump and I'm looking to change ISP...AOL=Devil.
