kat 750 shock rebuild

Where can I learn how to service a kat 750 shock?  I want to take the spring off and paint it, but I'm not sure how much trouble that would be.

honestly i dont think it would be worth the time. imo.  but you really want to paint id suggest loosening it all the way so the gaps are as big as possible and then sliping some cloth or paper inside and just paint the spring with it all together.
