HI all,

I've checked out the older posts re: Chokes but could'nt find a definative answer, so, heres the issue, 2weeks ago choke worked fine, 1 week ago choke lever got quite stiff to move and revs would not come up to 3000rpms [approx 2000rpm] same for a few days then, on Friday lever was quite free [like normal] BUT, revs at less than 1200rpm?? bike will low idle but does not stall, if I turn choke off bike idles at around 1400rpm then stutters and stalls, I checked the cable and its intact, the slide assembly and the 'Push Rod'[?] between the carbs are moving normally, but the revs just arn't there. The bike will warm up manually without the choke and when warmed up runs normally [ie: no other issues].

The closest explanation i came across in the search suggested a 'clogged pilot'?
QuoteDied on choke = clogged pilot jet. Choke sucks through the pilots. Split and clean it. While you in there jet it too.
Cool.
Buddha.

Is what I have as above? if not what is it? Hope you can help.

Ps: Please keep explans in basic english, Im not mechanical!! :thumb:

Cheers Oldman.

Monday I have Friday on my mind.....
