Then there was this thing...

Ugly, ugly, ugly.

But intriguing.

And I already wrote to him to tell him that his ad listing is wrong -- its a GS500 he has there, not a GS550.

Oh my.

Lmao - very eco friendly.

Wonder what he did with the rest of the fork lift? Why not put the bike motor in the forklift for some real fun.  :thumb:

Well at least he can now jump start Mack trucks

Good God, why would someone what that bajillion tooth sprocket?

Holy mother of God! Why? I guess I can admire that it took some work and know how. Why did he leave the rear fender just oddly attached like that? And what was wrong with leaving the stock tail....

well for one the rpms of the motor are probably upwards of 2000-3000 rpms and there is no tranny so bike speed is directly related to how much power you supply to the motor. and decreasing the sprocket on the motor side and increasing the wheel side would increase the tourqe applied to the rear wheel.
Current project:
Mmotos full body kit (YOU DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... READ MY THREAD BOOT STATE UPDATE)
K&N Lunchbox
Buddah's jets
CBR F2 rearsets
Ducati pass pegs (Modified)
Kat rear wheel
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Can, possibly shortened and relocated
And so on......

That is the stupidest thing I have just about ever seen. What's the point of it to get so little distance from a charge. Waste of time.

shouldn't a motor that propels a forklift propel a motorcycle a lot faster than 45mph, especially if you're going to get less than 10 miles out of a full charge?

Good idea, just needs more juice.

He notes the batteries are old. My back of the hand maths say with decent deep cycle batteries and proper gearing, I'd expect it to be more sluggish than stock but still serviceable with probably enough range for a short commute (might swing 20?). Lithiums would make it neato. In any case, the whole point of homebrew electric vehicles is just to do them, nobody expects them to outperform the original gas motors - batteries are a long way from having the energy density as gas :)

That said, I don't like the back end of it :P
