Gs500 Overheating?

I've searched around looking for a direct answer to this question...i'm sure one exists, but I couldn't find it.  I'm going to be buying a bike for all year riding in Los Angeles...temps on average between 50 and 80F.  Plenty of stop and go traffic, congested freeways, etc.

Will a gs survive these conditions unfazed?  If so, would it be better to look into a newer model with oil cooler?
Good day to you!

Hi there,
You don't need an oil-cooled engine.
It's an air-cooled engine and it's designed to operate quite safely in whatever temps you run it in.
Make sure it's a good bike, check it over carefully for a whole boatload of things and then ride it and enjoy it.
Often people ask about such worries with air-cooled engines.
The fact is, though, that they are DESIGNED to run in all kinds of temps and are designed to be able to dissipate the heat of the their operation, whatever the outside air temps you face.
Not to worry.
Keep the oil changed, the oil level at the upper mark and you can ride it whatever the outside temps.

Best wishes,
