Another thread on steering wobble...

I've searched through a few other threads, but I'm not sure where exactly to start.
This morning on my way to work at about 45 mph, I let go of the handlebars a little bit while in 5th because I felt a little vibration and was curious to see if it was coming from the front end or rear end. As soon as I did, the handle bars started wobbling a bit, then the wobble got more and more intense. I tried this again at 55 and 65 in 6th, and it did the exact same thing. I tried on 3 different types of road top, to rule this out, and the same thing happened.
Of course, I immediately stopped and checked both tire pressures and they were correct, so it wasn't that.
I'm at work right now, so I can't really try anything until this weekend, but I'd like to see what you all think, where should I start to troubleshoot?
Thanks in advance!
Rick E.

simplest would be to start with wheel alignment check.

other than that I have no idea. sorry

Well, dont let go then ...
Seriously, too loose neck bearings can do this, as can tars that have wear on 1 side - normal due to camber on the roads.
GS has a 1 sided rotor which can also give a weird draggy feel to it and cause it to wear and wobble.
Cool.
