Just curious as to the longevity of these Suzuki 500 twins.
Good day to you!

My '08 has reached the dizzy height's of.......5800 miles  :icon_mrgreen:

However, it was averaging 100 miles per month when I bought it. Since then it is now averaging 561.81 a month. The bike has sprung an oil leak in the last 3000 miles I have had it, and most recently it has developed a starting issue, as if it has a flat battery turning over really slowly. If I knock the choke off, it springs into life  :cookoo:

My bike came with a lifetime warranty from the dealer though, so I am not concerned about potential bills.

Overall, so far so good. I intent to ride it 5 days a week until I get fed up of it  O0
Me and my '08 GS reside in Derbyshire, England.

We just had a thread about this.. I'm at ~32k miles.  '95.  There is a few with more than me.  It's all about how you ride and how well you keep up on maintenance.
1995 GS500ES - Love it!

Just about to tick over 30,000kms (roughly, 19,000 miles) on my 09. All stock. Runs good, no oil consumption. Nice  :thumb:

hmm on the 95 ive put 9k on since i bought it with a mileage discrepancy at 18k. so 27k+ miles, of a very hard life. burns less oil than my 2001 nissan.

A couple of Nissan SR20's would pull a premium one week before race wars.

27,000 on mine with 14,000 put on it by me personally in the last 3 years. It's a '93 and I see no need to rebuild anytime soon. There are few motors out there that can compare to this twin in simplicity and reliability.

lol its just a matter of moving the decimal 13 places to the right and multiplying by 6 (yes I am lazy and say a light year is 6 trillion miles) so in my case no I had done 600 miles ;)

My 2007 and I have traveled together for 29,315,820 smoots (and an ear...).
Trouble free, to boot. I love this bike... but I will wear it out... eventually...

Look it up... it's f'ing hysterical!

So... the ear tops it to 31,000 miles, then?
