What color should I paint the back part of the seat? (What looks gray is really a silver of that same shade)

(Updated photo set: forgot red tail with the stripes. Also the "Dunlop" was removed. This is a photo from last week that I photoshopped)

I like the red... ties the tank and headlight fairing all together.

2nd place goes to black with stripes.

Good looking bike btw.

Is that the gimbel rear?  Is the seat pretty comfortable?  Got to be better than stock...

Oh, I vote for the red, too.

Try dropping down to 4 Oreos and set your pilot screw 3 turns out.

That is the Gimbel seat. Pretty nice but not a lot of padding. Still quite comfortable. keeps you from sliding backwards and a good excuse for no passengers!

I added the photo of red with the stripes. Forgot that in the composite set.

Fun with Photoshop!

Then why is it that most stupid people have no idea they're stupid?

adidasguy

Now that I updated the photo set, is it plain red or red with the detail stripes?
I'm tending towards the red with the detail stripes. But let me know what you all think.

Defiantly torn between red_stripes and black_stripes they both look awesome! Excellent Photoshop work too by the way!

The black_stripes follow the geometry of the stripes perfectly and with the side piece being predominately black it fits better. Also with the red tank w/ red 1/4 fairing it accents the red above the black and continue the color scheme.  :thumb:

I would challenge him to photoshop that! I think he is good enough he can!

Top right, black with stripes is definitely the way to go. Red looks cool, but it kinda stands out and I think it looks better if it blends in with the tail, since the point of seat cowls is to make it look like you have a solo tail.

LOL, well besides mine I think his is the best looking classic I have seen to date. What ever he does will be right. I like his syle as far as bikes.

adidasguy

Still undecided. I really appreciate all of the comments. After all, when I'm riding the rear is, well, behind my rear and I don't see it.
Tonight I put on Buddha's fork brace. I made a nice discovery - I have a method of replacing the front fender without ever having to remove the wheel. Right now the front fender is the same antares candy red. The black front fender was matt black and I want it glossy to match everything else so I swapped fenders so I can apply the 2kGloss clear coat to the black fender tomorrow. Now that I can swap fenders in just a couple minutes, I can switch from red to black and back again.

The black back end looks cool and the stripes accent the solo seat aspect of it. However, the red also accents the solo seat look. Either color, I think we're tending to prefer the stripes. By the way, the stripes are extra tape sets I have which go on a belly pan so they would match exactly and are factory originals. I have both black/silver and red/silver tape sets.
