Good call Peter! I remember the first time I posted here. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Lets get back to that. Regardless of redundant posts..who cares..point them in the right direction.

I think it's a little bit more complicated then pointing it in the right direction. I can attest to this with my car build.

On my FI V6, I wanted a better sounding and performing exhaust setup. Stock was a 6-1 setup. I did a custom 3-1 dual exhaust with high flow cats and mufflers. Don't want to go into details about pipe size because I tried various sizes. But overall the car ran much better at the highend although a little rich but the bottom was torqueless. Ran a dyno and I was right. Took it to a tuner shop and they said I needed a x-pipe before tha cats. Had them build me the pipe and welded it in. Ran the dyno again and what a difference that x-pipe made. The HP was about the same but the torque numbers were a big difference. I also had them weld in 2 of these before the x-member in case I was already rolling.

Anyways someone probably can explain the physics for this, difference between small and big engine, and FI vs carb., etc.

But from this experience I chose to leave the GS stock h connection instead of doing true duels.

How much did those electric dumps run you? I priced them out once and was not happy with what I came up with . . .

Try dropping down to 4 Oreos and set your pilot screw 3 turns out.

Got a pair for $200 before electric ones were popular. All the old timers run manual pull ones. Now $200 would probably just get one.

A guy I work with has a Super Bee with a 508 that has dual dumps like those. Flip the switch, and all hail breaks loose in the neighborhood  :2guns:

Well my vote is for a full Jardine exhaust.  My 05 came with one already installed and I love the sound of it. Its pretty loud and sounds like it is ready to blow up at around 5k rpm but keeps going up through the RPMs, I love it!  Not sure how much louder it is than the stock exhaust as it came with it on already and this is my first bike, but I feel my bike is plenty loud and sounds much better than my friends ninja 250!

It is a Screaming Demon SDR can. With the silencer removed it is pretty damn loud. I love when you decelerate now on my bike you get that cool snap, crackle and pop. Makes me smile :D

This would look awesome. Of course it's meant for a gixxer, but the most you could possibly have to do is sleeve it for the different size. Pretty reasonable price for Jardine stuff.

Yes, I never run it open in the neighborhood. It makes the the V6 sound like a small block V8.
My next door neighbor has a chevy nova ss that he built frame up. It has duel exhaust to hi-flo cans. I just drool when I hear him turn it on.

(sorry about the pic size JB. Photobucket isn't cooperating)

That's a huge can!! If you just want loud there is nothing louder than a megaphone can or tip or just open exhaust.

I guess I'm just too old.  A loud exhaust is the LAST thing I want on a long trip.  I find them f*cking annoying!

If I have to ride behind someone whose exhaust is loud enough to drown mine out, I don't do it.  I go in front.  Nothing is worse than riding BEHIND a loud exhaust for four to six hours.

If you do mod your exhaust, at least save the stock muffler and pipes so that the next owner can put it back on.

^ Sexiest pipes I've seen. I would have never thought to do that, using a collector for a 1-2 y pipe. I love it. You've done it again Jim  :thumb:
