Options:

1. Dump him for ruining a perfectly good GS. :icon_eek:
2. Dump him for ruining a classic bike by substituting 'Jap crap' components. :2guns:
3. Dump him for not taking your feelings into account. :nono:
4. Just dump him.

Then ride off into the sunset on the GS and get a new boyfriend. :woohoo:

tucsondude

id have to agree dump him... maybe not if it is a junker parts bike. the gs isnt really modern...

putting disk brakes where you should have drums eliminates the 'fun'

Or marry him, let him finish the project (post pics here please), and after it's done divorce him and tell him you want HALF of his motorcycle.

Dump him for ruining an old English bike like that! Then find a new BF that appreciates an old bike, live anywhere near the Capitol Region of NY

Definitely need a pic. I used one for a swing arm for a bobber project but it was just a frame. If it's in good condition and rideable. sell it to someone who can ride it and go buy the parts.

There Buddha. That's my contribution to the 100 mark.

It sounds like he needs to set up the suspension properly on his bike.

It is sacreligeious to defile a British bike like that.  I mean, I like my GS, and I liked my '78 750 Bonnieville, but I would never, ever, put my GS front end on that Bonnieville.  That is just wrong.  British bikes are best appreciated as they are.  Some are even worth more not running, than running with aftermarket parts.

He should contact Raber's Part Mart here in San Jose about the forks on his Brit bike.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Whose property is it?

Sounds like it is His property. So, let him do what he wants with his property. Done. Next.

What's funny here is he wants "modern" suspension components from a GS500.  :cookoo:

Mmmm.... Sotomoto's post has twice as many replies as this. So by your logic, as he is a guy, that means all GSTwinners are in to guys.

I still don't see any pics.

The lass or the bike?

I want pics of both bikes and of the lady. Then I can decide which I want for real.  :icon_twisted:

1 someone will taunt her into posting a pic of herself +/- a bike, +/- clothing, +/- a suggestive stance.

That's the second problem, first they all fall over each other to post and they dont make any sense ... then they ignore you ... or in mary's case ... both.
