I did a search and found lots of stuff on Gen-Mar and Southwest Mototech risers, but not the info I was looking for.

I have the SW risers but want to go up even higher. Has anyone added to their extended risers? I was going to use the top set of my old stock risers to give me another 1/2 inch or so.? Real question is do you think I can re-route the cables to make it work or is that going to be a no go. I read somewhere that I might be able to move the cables behind the front forks and that might give me enough. :dunno_black:

Anyone with experience please let me know what you think.

Thanks!

If you need to you can get custom cables made up.

I have genmar risers with angle+handlebar riser kit 30 mm, see:

After this mod i had to reroute the choke cable(outside the fork) and install a new front brake line(800mm hose, new banjos and copper washers)

.

I needed longer alen bolts in the raiser kits, i don't remember exactly... 80-100 mm long...and i also needed to pull a little bit out the wire harness of the headlight--no big deal, 1 inch or so...

Sotomoto,

Nice Pics, thats what I'm looking for.

Ok, so it's doable without to much sweat. Looks like a brakeline and re-routing a few things. I'll see what I can do. Any special brake line used?

Thanks to all for the info! :)

I used venhil hoses--i found them on ebay uk. You can choose between many colors and hose lengths---make sure you choose the exact length of brake hose and it's good to do that, after you have finished your handlebar riser kits installation-but first of all, disassemble front brake line. You will need new banjos, copper washers,Venhill cushioned clamp for brake line lhoses. If you ARE NOT SURE, GO TO A SHOP. SAFETY FIRST.
i used 2 banjos, 20 degree chrome and of course new brake fluid.  ---see here:

Performance--same as stock...very good quality lines...

If you'll search, you will find some other brakeline brands. I don't know much, i found this one and used it.

Good luck to your project. :thumb:
