Insane Deal

I just came across a deal so crazy, I think I'm upgrading straight to a brand new 0km 2000 CBR 929RR for only $8999CND ($6800USD).  Original MSRP was $14299 ($10800USD).  I'm not ready financially, nor etirely experience-wise but this is a steal I have to grab.  The dealer (reputable) said it was Blue-Yellow-Black.... anyone have a pic cuz I sure couldn't find one.  I'm so excited... it's at the warehouse so I don't know if I'll have a chance to see it.

I was looking at a new 919 but this is even cheaper.  Being an older bike, I'm not even going to worry about fully insuring it.  I just can't believe this deal.  If anyone has useful info on this bike, pics or whatever, let me know... I just decided to buy it 30 minutes ago before it's gone.

The 929 is a nice bike.
I would suggest getting full coverage. If anything happens, you'll be paying big bucks to have it fixed. The price for parts from Honda is rediculous.

The 929 is so sick! Your dang lucky if you pick it up. If you dont, I will!

Sounds like a wicked deal!  That's a bike that was amazing in it's time, and still is, even by current standards.  I would agree about fully insuring it.  Fixing newer Hondas, or any for that matter, isn't cheap.  And ease in to the power.  It's not really about the experience, so much as respecting the bike for what it can do to you.  Just remember, if you find yourself needing power, it's not two downshifts and a WOT away!  Be safe!

You guys are contradicting my current beliefs that Honda has the cheapest parts, which is one of the reasons next to reliability that I've decided to get a Honda next.  I originally did my parts pricing comparison on the 919 and its parts were CHEAP!.  Suzuki consistenty had the highest prices.  I'm going to price some parts on the 929 and see what I get.

As for full coverage... I don't think so... but MAYBE!  It's $900/y to fully cover my GS for '04.  A 919 was going to be $1600, and a 600 sport was going to be $2600.  I don't want to know where the 929 would be and that is why I'm pretty sure I'd be doing only 1-way converage.

This deal is a steal so if something did happen to the bike, it would not affect me nearly as much if it were a '04 CBR1000RR.  I can't wait to see it and sit on it for I have no clue what it feels like.... I almost don't even care!
