Turn signals - interesting place for them

I saw this bike in Berlin last week. I never have seen turn signals on the bar ends. Pretty clever! Probably would qualify as both the front and rear signals. Far more visible than flush mounts. With the strict laws in Europe - this must be legal.  I don't see any other turn signals on the bike.

They sell barend signals on www.dimecitycycles.com. Probably not the legal kind, but they do have them.

That is quiet a cool looking bike. Looks like a single thumper. Maybe a Yamaha SR500 or SR400. Any idea what it was adidasguy?
