Just wondering if the clubman handlebars will fit on a 2006 gs500f without any problems?  Will they still go to the full lock position?  Will they hit the gas tank?

I think the clubmans will hit the fairings, I swapped out to the stock style clip-ons, if you can find them on Ebay, they are totally worth it. Adidasguy put up some nice photos of his.

All you have to get is the two bar clamps, the top triple plate, and the bars themselves, sometimes you can even find a set on Ebay. I think I paid $70 or so for my full set.

got a set of clubmans on mine right now. They do hit the headlight fairing, sometimes even pressing the levers if you have it in full lock. They do sometimes hurt my wrists if I ride for a fair amount of time. I agree with the last poster, buy clip ons.... they are so much better.

You don't have any problems with the stock type clip-ons hitting your tank?

They come pretty close at full lock, they don't hit though. The difference between the stock bars and the clip-ons was pretty dramatic. Still never made my wrists hurt or my thumbs go numb, and they look a ton better than aftermarket clip-ons.

Now that I'm back from Berlin... (should I complain that I was there 3 extra days because airports were closed due to eastern snow storms? I think not).

I do love the factory clip ons. No mods to the fork at all. Just replace the top plate. Yes, as mentioned, clearance is tight but they do not hit the tank on an F if you get the right ones. All work OK on an E model. There are 3 different types. I don't see ant on ebay right now. I probably have an extra set.

Search for photos and postings by me and you'll see how good they look.

So, which ones do you need for an F model  :dunno_black:
