Ok I will explain what I have done as best I can and appreciate any help.

I have put all the mechanicals onto the bike and attached most of the electricals with the exception of the blinkers and helmet box(it is wear the tank on a normal bike would be.

I put a new battery in. Turned it over to make sure it turned as the engine was off another bike. electric petrol pump worked as I could hear it. I left it for a while and done some other things on thebike.

Came back and tried to start it with petrol in the tank. Put the key to on and the petrol pump starts but graually ran down like it ran out battery. pressing the starter button and nothing. The battery has since been recharged and nothing but all the idiot lights light up and horn is strong. There is no clicking like a low battery. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Thanks. Checked fuses and they seem ok. There is no clutch switch or wiring for one. Still no go. I will look at neutral switch tomorrow. Keep the ideas coming:)

Thanks for that link. Very informative but did not fix my problem. I might have better luck tomorrow.

Broken starter switch? Or maybe the kill switch is broken?

So no turnover at all even with a KGB? ( known good battery), should find a harness going to the starter button, where you can "hotwire " it using a paperclip. ( for testing purposes only ;)

Out of frustration more than anything i took out the fuses and re inserted them again. got strong turn over now. I just need it to spark up and start  lol. New spark plugs and fuel is turned on. switch is in run position too. Any ideas on this one throw it at me  :) Thanks for the help on this really appreciate it. I am really appreciating oil cooled simple gs500 doing this as a bike to work on lol
