Brake Master Cylinder

newish member here with an 05 gs500f, I saw some crusty crap on my brake fluid level sight and tried to scrape it off with my nail and it cracked and is now leaking fluid . Has anyone actually successfully installed one of those $15 sight glasses from ebay ? is there any upgraded master cyl that I can get from a dif bike that will be a pretty much direct replacement?

Why bother with pseudo patches and trying different ones?

I saw a Gold Wing once where the owner used a dime to repair the little window!

I think I'd just buy a replacement if they are that cheap. That way all you would have to do is slap it on instead of scrape and shimmy put everything in and find out it still leaks.
