Problem after rejetting- With Factory Pro Kit

I installed the following jets per wiki Drop in K&N Air Filter + Sports Exhaust = 20/62.5/142.5  they where all mukini jets.
The kit came with a new needle which is set on the second clip from the top- which seems that more of needle goes into carb than stock needle
screws set at 3 turns out.
I am getting a hesitation/stumbling at 4,000-6000 rpm or so if i turn screws out to 4 it gets a little better but then cold starting is a real pain
Should i go back to the stock needle?>?? any help would be great or should i try and put the factory pro needle at a lower position???

You mean half throttle, or only 4-6 grand?  If it's only in that rpm range, that's not the jets or needle.

Either move the clip down on the new needle or try the original needles.

yes it happen from about 1/4 throttle to 1/2 throttle or so.

Lift the needle - as it sits in the carb - like he said ... however with the original needles you will need 147.5 mains.

Thanks, I put the stock needle and rode a bit and seems alot better.
