I run Avon Road Riders on my 92, one size oversize front and rear. I have 10k on the front and my first rear went 8k. I started commuting on concrete roadways and at a lot higher speed the last 8 months, so I expect to wear the rear faster. These things stick extremely well, I have had no slippage or weird feelings out of them at speed. Got the pair for less than $200! I highly recommend them!

Just made an online purchase of the Pirelli - Sport Demon Sport Touring tires.

I'm excited and a little nervous. I've always (2x) had the dealer recommend
tires for me - This time, I actually did research and made my own decision;
with some help from my GStwin peep's -

Thanks Everyone

Good choice. i recently upgraded my tires to the BT45's front/rear. This was at the end of riding season so I only got a chance to take them out for a spin a couple times. Huge difference in feel as they stuck to the road like spiderman on buildings.

the stock BT-45's...are they Bridgestone Battlax BT45 V-Rated? or H-Rated?
Previous bikes: 2002 Ninja 250R

I believe they are H-Rated

All of the 110/70-17 and 130/70-17 BT45 tires are H speed rated.  The special G spec tires made for the GS500 as well as the standard non G spec in that size are H speed rated.  As far as I know the only difference between the standard ones and the G spec GS500 oem tires is the tread depth, the G spec have 1/32" less tread depth.  Cheapo Suzuki, even the Ninja 250 gets better tires.

I was asking this same question a few weeks ago.  Ended up going with the Avon Road Riders.  Vast improvement over the Bridgestone Excedras and not super expensive.  Mail ordered from Jake Wilson.  Also, I used Dynabeads after balancing and the ride is SMOOOTH!

Time to send me all your money and I will personally guarantee you will never crash.

Not sure if anyone has delt with them, but I ordered a tire from them on March 18th. I called them today and they said that they just got it shipped out today. Not sure what that means to all of you, but I probably won't be dealing with them again.
