TEA party needed in wisconsin

Oh yea where TF are they ... hiding that's where.

Try to cut a tiny bit in 1 tiny state and they turn it into egypt.

Well what we need if any TEA partier has any spine is to gather and counter that protest in Wisconsin. Else they are just window dressing ...

Well Gubbamint has laid off lots of people. My neighbor was laid off in 08, and 2 doors down that guy was let go september 2010. I'd say atleast in NC its happening. However Teachers are gubbamint employees too. So this is an extension of smaller gubbamint.
BTW every one says cut cut cut, and no one wants theirs to be cut. Make up your minds. Anyway this is an extension of cutting the govt if you ask me.
Schools have a ton of bureaucracy that gives everyone the run around. They could use serious cutting. However they were raised on the "job security" notion. So they're screaming. We need to have the TEA party go over there and counter scream.

The state is in finanical trouble. The govenor found out that the state was footing 100% of the bill for teachers' health care and retirement. The health care plan the state pays for comes out to about $22K a year per person. He figures that this is a place that can be reduced by getting a new affordable plan and having the teachers contribute to paying for it.

From what I've read, the protest isn't about taking less in relation to benefits. It's about the part of the bill that would do away with the collective bargaining rights of those that this bill affects. Apparently the unions involved had already agreed to the cuts as long as their collective bargaining rights were left alone.

agreed. theyd write in a loophole to get out of it tho. taxing teh wealthy, yeah it wont happen. theyd find a way where they would not have to pay it. they find ways to take your money, but not theirs.

Im sorry i have NO respect for unions as far as teachers goes. well i do , BUT when they strike, theyre robbing the kids of their education. im sorry that shaZam! dont fly with me

Please note that when I said that the government needs to cut their pay first, I'm talking specifically of the elected officials. If they are serious about the budget getting balanced they should cut their own pay in half first, be required to pay a portion of their benefits as well. Including health insurance and retirement etc. After all, fair is fair right? I also find it ironic in this situation that Walker has exempted certain unions from the bill. Why cut from one and not the others? Oh, that's right, the others most likely gave him campaign contributions.
