I finally got the GS back together and took her out today since it was so nice (SE Wisconsin, High of 36).  It was so great getting out to ride again albeit I put on winter bibs before going out on the highway.  I can't wait for a little nicer weather here!  :woohoo:

I bet you're not riding today!  We just got a thaw here too but it turned cold overnight and it's snowing again.  Now it looks like January again, dammit!

Went out yesterday for a short ride. I've got some work to do on the bike and I wanted to get it inspected before I did anything to it just to make sure it was inspected and ready to go when I'm done. It was only 50-55 and raining, but it was still nice to be out.

I'm going to pick up my new 08 GS500F @ the dealer on Sven Patricks Day. It is supposed to be rain/thunderstorms a couple of days before. That will help the salt/sand factor. It should be in the 40's. Warm enough for 14 miles of hwy riding. Glad they installed my new windscreen. I ordered Nelson Rigg touring bags. The new full face will have to wait for a while.

Happy trails, you guys!

Maybe just me but I think a FF helmet would have come before a windshild and touring bags on the "F" model  :dunno_white: .

Mary- I have a nice FF helmet, but it's 10 years old. I thought that I should get a new one. I would like to wait and  go to a mc show to try on various styles, to make sure I get the right fit.

Yeah, I know it sounded kinda lame.  :icon_rolleyes:

When you said "first ride this year" for some reason this image of a bike came to mind...

You need to ditch a 10 y/o helmet won't protect you properlly in a get off. The inside foam probably has deteriorated quite a bit in a decade!
