Has anyone looked into this taillight? Seems like tis a pretty kewl idea to clean up the rear end and could take the fenderectimy one step farther and cut out the stock blinkers holes too.

the only thing that makes me nervous is that its from hong kong    so it will take like 3 weeks to get it...seller seems to have a  good rating and track record and they have some kewl front mirrors with signals built in too. thoughts, comments, suggestions, criticisms, cries of outrage welcome  :D

Also the picture that it shows is the smoked model but it does come in clear and blue actually :woohoo:

im thinking that would be a little bit of overkill though on the blueness. thoughts?

Just watch for the legality of it, using it without the stock rear blinkers might be a No No.

I bought this one a few months back and love it.  Pretty much plug and play. The taillight blinks a few times before going solid, same with the turn signals.  I think it makes you a little more visible by drawing attention.  I bought the smoked lens and the only thing im worried about is that the license plate doesnt seem to be very illuminated.

kind of off subject- do you all ever worry about non DOT approved head/tail lights?

sorry for the noob status haha

I refuse to run em. Most of the aftermarket stuff isn't nearly as bright as the stock stuff, creating a safety hazard. Just ride your bike.

Use integrated turn signals if you want. I've been behind bikes with them and don't know if they are going left or right. Some of the LED turn signals are so tiny that you can't see them. There's a reason for DOT requirements that turn signals be a minimum of 9" apart.

I don't think stock signals look that bad - especially since I went to smoke lenses (which are legal). They blend in with the blackness of the bike and disappear until you turn them on.
