I've dissembled the front end in prep for replacing the seals but I can't get one of the front forks out of the clamps. Both the top and bottom pinch bolts are loose.

Any ideas?

Nevermind, I got it. I put a punch on the cap and hammered it out. It was a bit rusty under the clamps.

It seems I'm missing the spring seal on the right fork. Crap.

just clean it up with a bit of steel wool and put a little bit of grease(or anti-seize) in there before you put it back on.

Alright, me again with another question!

After draining out the old fork oil and removing the spacer/spring I discovered one of the fork tubes is missing the spring seat that is in between the spacer and the spring. Can I replace it with a washer of equivalent size?

I prefer the OEM spring seats as they actually conform to the shape of the spring, but you should be able to replace it with a washer. Remember that the overall length of the preload spacer, washer, and spring stack determines your total pre-load. Ideally, pre-load should be identical on both legs of the fork.

Thanks, I ended up going to the Suzuki dealer and ordering the OEM part to replace the missing piece.
