So far So good,
much more aggresive than stock, love the feel.
they are also heavy, so no bar end weights are needed.
for $40 its a GREAT MOD

Can anyone here compare/contrast the Sinrath bars vs. the SM sv650 bars? I'm planning on adding one of the two this winter...

While i'm at it, might as well add a heated grip kit on the new bars. Like Chris said, it is farking cold right now in Michigan. On a good day i can only ride ~15-20 minutes.

*Just about* being the operative phrase...a side by side comparison would be great. I suppose for the money you can't beat Srinath's bars (if only he made them in Stainless Steel like S-M)

I'm interested in a set.  I was gonna order the SM bars this winter, that way if I ever move up to a SV I can swap them out.  But maybe I'll just get the Sinrath bars and save the cash to put toward a paint job.  Is he still selling them?

Yea, he has an ad in the for sale colum. The only draw back is you have to paint or powder coat his bars. He is also on vacation so it may be a few weeks before you get a reply.

Someone link me to a pic of Srinaths Bars........

If you want a Drag bar/Superbike bar ( somewhere in between actually) in Stainless....I've bent  a few myself.

Well my welder put some cheesy black paint on them. Not too bad... but its a bit cheesy.
The weight part... funny thing is... they weigh exactly as much as stock bars with the bar end weights on them. The weight is sorta better distributed... in the sense the whole bar is heavy, not a lump at the end... so ends up feeling better. The thinnest tubing I can get was 1/8 inch wall. The stock is just bent... and they have used thinner than 1/8, but cutting and welding make it weaker so I didn't want to try it with too thin a material. Hence the 3/16 th wall. And If I did it in stainless... it might very well cost close to the SM bars. Or atleast 2-2.5 times these. Overkill I think. And not Sin-Rath... it does mean something awful... Srinath is a bit better...
I have a few left. The bar on top in the avatar is the bars we made from the stock 91 handle bar. I dont recomend it but I had it lying about so I sliced it up and made that.
Glad y'all liked it. $50 includes shipping to anywhere in the 48. Cost me $9.80 to send to CA, and $7.75 or so to send to NH from NC. So pretty much 8-10 for shipping. I believe the bars are strong enough to take any crash and not bend or break and dent the tank and they feel just like the 89 (well they are a bit wider - good thing cos the banjo wont hit the dash, and lower good or bad depending on what you like). Actually if one of the guys that fitted them up puts up a pic that's better, I have the other prototypes on mine... and probably wont have the dash and headlight on the 91 for a while.
Cool.
Srinath.
