Can I please get a little more info on mounting saddle bags under the seat? I searched but I couldnt find an explanation. Once or twice "cutouts" were mentioned but I still didnt fully understand. Can someone pop their seat off and snap a pic or two. (mary?) I have the Nelson Rigg CL-950 deluxe saddlebags. Very well constructed, two external pockets, internal pencil/pen holders, rain covers, 20L capacity and a bunch more features. Thanks a lot twiners  :thumb:

Uhm, mine are not mounted on I just sling 'em on and snap the seat over them. The little attachment thingys I leave hanging off the passenger pegs the metal part. If I'm haulin a lot of stuff then I'll take the time to buckle them otherwise with school books and back pack sling it on and I'm gone  :thumb:

The seat still locks? I tried mine but the straps were a little too thick. I noticed the rear plastics had a small lip, I might gain a little clearance by shaving that down.  :dunno_black:

I have the First Gear Onyx Expander saddle bags. The straps fit fine under the seat. Here are some pics so you can see where my straps cross under the seat. I have to press a little harder than usual to get the seat to lock into place, but it still goes on fine.  Notice that my straps are not doubled up where they cross the tail "lip" you mention. If they were doubled up at this point (like they are underneath the seat) then the seat might not go back on.

I'll peel back some of the extra strap and try it woth one layer only. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, It's gotta be just right and requires a little love tap or me bouncing up and down on Flick until it clicks but it will go  :thumb:
