Cleaning out the garage to make room to work so I have extra parts for sale. Offers accepted for everything.

SEAT: GS500F seat. Perfect condition. Make offer.
SOLD: Blue 5 Stars headlight cowling (retails for $150) Windshield part still in plastic wrap. (red cowling is already sold)

Gimbel headlight cowling (retails for $197 in Germany, WildHair is like $300)

Gimbel Belly Pan (retails for $168 in Germany, WildHair charges $300)

Gimbel parts are new, unused. They come primed and need to be painted to match your bike. Made of fiberglass.

Rentec carrier for GS500F. Bolts on where the rear grab bar is located. Looks good and works good except I didn't like it because it blocked access to the tool kit. You can cut out a section of its bracket under the seat and access your tool kit. It is very strong so that wouldn't affect the strength of it (WildHair about $150 retail).

This shows it mounted and the section you can cut out if you want to (or put your tool kit in front of it)

I don't know, but might fit OK on an "E" model.

Assorted Tails -"E" models only. Most have both left and right. Let me know what you need if not shown as some are in boxes. $20-$40 each depending on condition. Most are excellent or need just a cleaning and minor touch up. A good clear coat (Eastwood 2k Clear suggested) will make them shine like new. All have all the tabs and are not cracked. (May or may not have rubber gromets but you can use the ones from your existing tails) Ebay prices are $40 or more for one tail piece and center sections are rare, going for $15-$30 each.

If you don't see what you want - send me a photo and I'll see if I have a match. Not everything is visible in the photos.
Some look grungy but are just dusty and will clean off just fine.
There are a couple not for sale as they will be used on Trey or Junior but most all are for sale.
I do have some faded ones or dinged ones suitable only for painting but are complete with all tabs and no cracks. $5 each for those.

I have a couple tail center sections, but you'd probably have to paint to match your bike.

UPS ground shipping to be added on unless you offer enough to make me smile.

Hello sir.

how much for a matching (color & graphics or no graphics) pair of tail plastics? I need black please but anything will do. I'll take some with non matching graphics if they are easy to remove  :dunno_black:

I'm no good at making offers so how much for the belly pan and headlight fairing?
I buy junk

jakers

Do you know if that gimbel belly pan would fit on a 2004?

adidasguy

If a naked 2004 then it should fit. There were essentially no frame changes since 1989 except for the tank and tail sections.
If anything (and I had to do this with one belly pan on my 1992) you might need to notch the top inner edge if it sits too close to the exhaust (a 2" drum sander on a drill and I took out about 1/2" notch for better clearance from the exhaust pipes).
It mounts to the frame, which is the same. I think they don't list newer models because it would not fit one with a full fairing - obviously.

NOTE: I give retail prices just as a reference. Reasonable offers are accepted.

Retail prices is just for reference. Make an offer. Whatever you feel comfortable with. Then we can have the fun of haggling over price.

Select which tails you want and I'll give you a basic price. It all depends on how clean and perfect they are. Or tell me what color you're interested or show me a picture of your bike and I'll see what might match without removing stickers. You can always paint them to match your bike.

Decals can be removed from tail sections with a heat gun. I have to see what removes the sticky residue.

Drove car to office to bring some parts in to ship out but going back home now for Suzi so I'll try a few toxic chemicals (the more toxic - the more fun you have! Sniff! Aaaahhhhhh!) and see which cleans it off without damaging the plastic or the paint.

Belly pans gone.
Gimbel headlight cowling still around as is the seat.
Tails are boxed up and in storage, but I could possibly locate a set if you said which ones you wanted.
Rear carrier still available and know where it is.
Have lots of other parts but stored away while garage is being worked on. Ask and I might be able to find something.
Will post more as things turn up.

Got an extra rubber laying around  :o Er, uhm the rubber grommet on the tail plastic seems like Flick lost one LOL. If you do just bring it down July! I'll introduce you to Flick and show you all the Adidas shops here. Deal?

Probably. I'll look at Suzi to remember which ones are there and grab as assortment for you.
If you think of anything else Flick needs, let me know and I'm sure Suzi will try to find it. Is Flick a boy or girl? Suzi needs a friend as Trey and Junior have become a couple.

Do you have a matching set of tail plastics in either blue, purple or black?

mike__R

FYI, I got some tail pieces from Addidasguy (paid for 2 but he sent 3 what a guy) and they were all in good shape, no cracks or rash - he sent them quickly and if I ever needed more I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again.

I'll look this weekend. There might be black left and I think there is a blue set left - blue with the black & silver decal like the red ones on Junior's earlier photos with the red tails (before the cafe solo seat). (It is in the very back of the photo, hardly visible) There is a purple set - the later purple not the purple on Trey.

Did you get to confirm what matching sets you have left?

The bottom set is over at scottychop's. He decided to go silver. It is a really nice set - cleaned and clear coated already. The others except for the one that just says SUZUKI are in storage. I guess I could get them out if you wanted them this weekend and get out a seat that someone else wanted. Trying to keep things out of the way while the garage is being expanded (photos will be posted of my larger bike work space when finished). There is a blue set like the black/yellow set (blue with black decal) and somewhere a purple set but I don't remember specifically which purple. Not the same purple that Trey has.

The blue set is in the back on the right, hardly visible. I don't remember if I have the mate for the blue one in the front, but might. There is the purple/pinkish set somewhere. The blue with silver stripes has some dings in the decal but probably can be touched up then clear coated.

I really don't have time or space to get them all out again for new photos. If you listed a couple sets you want in order of preference, I could make one trip and pull out the best set. Otherwise, things will have to wait a month or so until the garage is finished. Rainy weather is slowing down the work.
