Help!!!!!

I took my carburator out to clean it.  I got it out cleaned it and put it back but I forgot to label my hoses and the manual pictures don't look exactly like my carb.  There are three hoses the vaccum which is on the upper left corneron the side closest to the engine then two hoses that attach on the side by the air box one is on top and one is on the bottom which is intake and which is over flow?  It ran when I attached the fuel to the bottom one but upon consulting the manual it said the top one was intake I attached it and when I put the petcock on prime to get gass to the carbs to be able to start it it leaked all over the floor.  any insight would be greatly appreciated
