Well I took a solo ride up the Sunny Coast on the weekend to try my old haunts on the Ducati. Man I missed them roads.

I took a quick burl down the Obi Obi and was a little disappointed in the quality of the road. It has been roughly fixed in a few places but it was still kinda fun. About halfway along it becomes one lane so you have to stop for traffic signals and it is right on a great bend (boo). There is another spot where it drops to single lane and it halfway up the range on the real twisty section. I really hope they get her back up to her former glory as this road is still to this day one of my favourites to ride on a bike.

Let us know what the condition is like if you still go this weekend, I hear the weather will be perfect  :thumb:
If not I will give it a go in a few weeks time  :)

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Obi Obi was perfect. Rode it on Friday and Saturday.

I went for a run over Nebo

Then over Mt Mee

Then to Maleny

Here is the route I took  http://g.co/maps/erhxb

It is a big ride but there are very few boring bits as there are twisty sections nearly all the way. Samford to Dayboro and D'agular to Commissioners Flat are the only Straight sections I can recall. There was a few roadworks coming down Mt Nebo to Samford and one section on Mt Mee but it was fine.

And you didn't let anyone else know :dunno_black:

Of course, it's hard to go for a solo ride if you let other people know.

I would have loved company as it is a really beautiful ride but I did it on a Friday and guessed everyone would have been working. I didn't go home either and I ended up staying at Caloundra for 2 days as well. I wore my front tyre out this weekend. Bald on the right hand side. So yeh I guess I love right handers  :thumb:
