Hey All, I need the help of the wise, extremely smart, talented people of the GS500 World... is that enough ass kissing lol
I have two problems that are plaguing me.

1. I have an after market front end from China that I bought on Ebay; I'm tired of the 25W bulbs it came with. I thought about swapping it for HID Projector kit, but I wanted to see how much the 55W bulbs will help. I went to the local bike shop and got some new bulbs. The bulbs were two stages; also both fire about when on the highbeam and only the one goes on the low beam. Now that I switched the bulbs the both are firing on lowbeams and even when I switch it to the highbeam it doesn't seam to be switch to the second phase.

2. After I swapped the front end the lights on the console are dead. WHY?!?! Please help me with any trouble shooting. I'm going to look for any shorts and trace the wires, but I'm wondering if anyone can offer help and any suggestions. Or last case what alternatives do I have.

Thanks guys!!!

Trace the wires from the console. Probably the connector is loose.
The WIKI has a wiring diagram. Also has been posted in other threads, in case you don't have one.

Thanks Adidasguys,
anyone have any idea about the constant highbeam. I didn't touch any wiring; I don't know how it is even posible

Can you show us how the Chinese front end is wired? The way it works shouldn't change because you got new bulbs. I don't know how we can help without knowing how you wired the new stuff, and whatever you've done won't be on the standard wiring diagram anyway.
My advice would be to put the standard headlight back on (assuming yours is a naked).

I'm naked and I'm frustrated. I have some photos to post when I get home and most of it does follow the wire diagram. This may sound stupid but my position lamp is not plugged in and I can't find anywhere to plug it? What is a position lamp -B/W & Br for those with the wire diagram. I haven't unplugged or taken away any wiring harnesses so I'm lost at where the male end of the position lamp goes? Also I got my circuit tester and I'm getting juice to the lamp but the light still does not go on; I've even changed both bulbs and it doesn't appear blow.
Thanks again.

connect your low beam positive to the orange wire from the headlight bucket, and connect the high beam to the stock highbeam wiring.  low beam will always be on, and both will be on when you set the switch to "high"  thats how I set mine up when I had dual single filament bulbs, worked great

I didn't need the viagra! I was just using the wrong screw, turns out I was putting it in the wrong piece.
OK enough of the inappropriate alluding. I fixed the headlights just as jeremy said and it turns out the dash light was not working because the wire wasn't properly grounded. I had it connected to a screw that wasn't grounded.
I took most of my electrical apart for one stupid wire that wasn't grounded lol At least I sorted everything better and cleaned it all up.
