never seen one on a GS yet but I assume it would be loud as hell and sound possibly bad depending where you locate it. I would suggest removed the can and running it tha close to what you would get with those.

Your bike will be an absolute dog unless your way up in the revs with that little amount of back pressure. I did something similar with my last bike (81 Yamaha XJ650) and while it sounded great because it was an inline four, it was a gutless wonder below 6k RPM after this mod, where before it made power from about 2500 & it was so loud that riding it for less than a half hour would make your ears ring for the rest of the day. I would not suggest this type of an exhaust on the GS, but I will say that it is your bike and if you can live with the huge power loss and the ringing ears just to make it look cool, then go for it. To me, its not worth it and I wont do it to another bike.

Few weeks i have this

For me nothing happening like yours XJ. Maybe just few hp's lost on hight rev's and speed because i not rejeted the carbs. Due this makes fuel starvation i think.. But spark plugs looks fine. So that means that mixture is god
But except this, everything is fine for now.

P.S. Loving the sound. Mmmmm..sound....

Maybe its different with a P-twin, but I cant imagine much of a HP gain, since a pipe only gets you 4 or 5. I want to do a full exhaust on my GS but I really cant justify upwards of $250 for not much power gain.

GS500Fmode

i once made something similar to this.. no matter what i did, it WAS LOUD! and it also sounded too much like a harley... (cough) i didnt notice any power drop or gain. (bone stock 05)

even with a baffle, ill bet its killer loud.
if you want that deep sound, without the harshness and ringing. i suggest find a 3" dia resonator off a car, and go that route. most resonators are straight through.

Actually, after having Harley rumble for 10 yrs, I'm, thoroughly, enjoying GS500F quiet. :thumb:
