Hello,

I'm installing a 2006 frame-mount petcock on my 1997 Suzuki.  I want to do it right, and was hoping to get some suggestions on how to handle mounting it and how to deal with the hose connector width difference.

intergalactic says here http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=48962.0 that the 2008 oem hose works on both the older smaller width connectors and the newer larger width connectors:
QuoteAlso, I installed a 08 petcock. the fittings are larger than the 89-00 petcock. So I bought '08 hoses from suzuki and they fit perfectly. The petcock itself needs to be offset from the stock location about an inch/25mm.

Is that really the case?  Is there a rubber liner or something I can use so that the larger oem hose will fit securely on the old connections on the fuel tank petcock and on the carb?  What is the best, most reliable way to go here?

Has anyone mounted the new petcock on the older bikes?  Can someone provide specs or measurements for an adaptor bracket?  I took some measurements today for the x,y,z offsets from the old threaded bracket mount hole to the threaded holes on the new petcock, but I don't want to go to the hardware store and start legoing together random pieces of hardware if at all possible.

Thank you
