I was walking through Autozone and noticed they had some grips (normally used to line the end of truck beds apparently...going by the pic on the package lol) for only $7.99. I just spent $50 for some  techspec grips for my boyfriend's 05 gixxer and figured i'd try these out to see if they help me grip my tank just the same. Granted they are a little thicker than need be but they def help me grab onto the tank 100 times better. I'm not that hard of a rider but i dig'em.   Just thought i'd share my lil find just incase someone esle wanted to delve into cheaper alternatives for tank grips.  :whisper:

she is posting a good find and yah come back with nice pants, way to contribute. nice find nikki we have those at pepboys also but be carful with the adhesive as it will stick really well. I would suggest using some sort of goo gone when removing so you dont mess up the paint. all in all nice find.

Cool find! I was thinking about tank grips until I installed my SM2 Bars. They allow me to redistribute my weight enough that I don't feel the need to have the grips.

Typically that is for a very good reason. HAHA. Tank Grips is something I need to dabble into. Thanks OP for the post and the suggestion of customizing my own on da cheap!

Haha, seriously girls get scared out of this place so fast.

Great idea though! I've been looking for something like that to make my own tank bad from because I don't like any of the normal ones that fit on the back of the tank. I wonder if they have anything like this without the diamond print. I was actually thinking about making something out of fiberglass and sticking it on with double sided tape, but I've been lazy.
