How do I remove the rear wheel?

I searched and found a good how-to video on removing the front wheel, but not the rear. I am BRAND NEW to motorcycles and don't know how hard or easy it is to remove the rear wheel. I gotta paint them. The white wheels are way too retro for me.

Man just go to garage, pick up tools, and try to remove it. There is nothing so hard, just need to look at it.
God luck

Pick up a Clymer or a Haynes manual for the bike...it tells you how do do everything...but it is really simple...just loosen the nuts on the brake caliper and remove them, lift the caliper assembly off the rotor and suspend it with something fromt he rear foot peg bracket (I used a piece of rope...be very careful not to hit the rear brake pedal...curiosity is a bad thing here)...loosen the nuts on the chain tensioners so that the nuts are at the end of the threads, remove the cotter pin from the axle nut...remove the nut and pull the washer and locator bracket (not sure what it is really called, my manual is out in the garage... :icon_mrgreen:)...push the axle out and remove from the right side...there is a spacer and a couple of washers that will come out (probably fall on the floor when you pull out the tire)...push the tire forward enough to take the chain off the sproket, then pull the tire out (might be a little tight getting the tire past the brake caliper, just wiggle and pull it will come out)...once the tire is out, I put the axle back in with the washers and spacers back in place on the axle to keep the parts together while I did the required work (for me it was having the tire replaced)...the tire goes back in almost as simple...you just have to re-tension the chain before doing everything up tight...don't forget to replace the cotter pin, they're cheap so don't skimp here...

Later.

I wouldn't loosen the chain adjusters, just remove the axle and push the tire forward. That way you don't have to mess with the wheel alignment too much when u put the wheel back on.
