Hello everyone new to the forms great site. I just bought a 2006 gs500f which had been in an accident the bike has cosmetic damage front fairings all 3, the headlight is also damaged, the handle bars have a very little bent . The forks are not bent which is a positive.  My plans are to remove the fairings and give the bike the naked look. I recently just ordered this headlight link below.  Now what mirrors would you guys suggest to install on the bike as the original where mounted to the fairing.

Do a search for 'bar end mirror' eBay will give you plenty of results. They just go into the end of the handlebar. You want ones for 7/8'' bars. If you want new bars since yours are bent you said, the superbike bars by bikemaster seem to be a popular replacment. Welcome!

on a further note with the bar-end mirrors, be sure to check if the mirrors have a threaded part to screw into your handlebars or you may have to find bolts that fit the threading in your bars or find a way to rig 'em on.

Newer bar ends used rubber bushings. Older bars had a nut welded inside that the bar ends screwed in to.
You should be able to use those bushings with whatever you get. Some new bar end mirrors come with expanding bushings already.

Welcome to the forums. be sure to post up some pics of you GS so we can have a gander.

I have installed barend mirrors on my GS and love them so much when I got another bike I put them on that one too. Much better vision and no vibes. I got a set of these - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/YAMAHA-SUZUKI-KAWASAKI-HONDA-BLACK-CNC-BAR-END-MIRRORS-/290541531827?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a59ff2b3

You can swap them to a lot of different positions - over the bar, under the bar, beside the bar.
