Time to update!

Well, I've been pretty busy with this build and I have learned a ton! Found out I like to mess with bikes.

Cleaned and greased all bearings; hub and bottom bracket.

New innertubes and tires.

Swapped in a 2 chainwheel Sugino crankset

All new cables and housing

Set up with Suntour ARX derailleurs and shifters

New bar tape

Sweet new Cardiff leather saddle  :thumb:

Now I'm building up that Nishiki for my wife  :kiss3:

OK how much of the bike do you have left? I haven't been around for a while so it sucks I missed this.

Oh fyi back in the day we used to run those 20c stitch ups with nitrile liners at 120 psi.

I have an old raleigh roadbike in the garage I need to get fixed back up. I had a nishiki when I was 11 20" stitch up tires believe it or not. Then a Bianchi when my legs were long enough to use a full sized crank set, I had a Maasi frame that I never got around to building because I got bored with it.

Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

have teh front wheel and tire, chin is a conti duraskin, the rear tire which is a conti gator skin. both same sizes. conti race-lite tube in front. some other brand in rear. the cassette ( a shimano hyperglide-c _ 9 spd,  the time trial bars, & brake levers and shifters, shifters are a gimme, they need some tlc. have the front and rear shimano 105 brake calipers, and front crank.  front and rear derraileur are also shimano 105. and teh cateye astrale 8 computer, basically the whole bike lol. but teh rear wheel will stay here because its one ride shy of catastrophic failure.,

basically hav teh frame, the calipers, the front wheel, and tire/tube,the rear tire/tube. rear wheel, is no good, and the cateye. if someone cares to make a stab at it, sans frame would be cheap. shipped

I had a bike in highschool I absolutely loved. I wish I could remember what it was because I'd love to have one again. Got it at an auction towards the end of the night, nobody around. It was yellow. I remember my dad saying something to the effect that it was a "french raching bike". I know that isn't a technical term but back then, I didn't care. I absolutely loved that thing. Could go anywhere on it I wanted really. I was a bit rough on tires and got  tired of replacing the tubes so I eventually went with a solid innertube set up for both tires. It seemed to ride so much better after that. Anyways, I'm rambling now and really have nothing to contribute to this thread other than to say, nice bike.  :thumb:

Not sure. I do remember that it did have the two sets of hand levers as on the bike in this post. Oh, and the gear selector switches were actually located in the center of the bars. I don't remember it weighing alot either. One of the lighter road bikes i've ever ridden if I recall. After I moved out my old man sold it in a garage sale. Oh well, I shoulda taken it with me.

honestly id let teh whole bike go. but the rear wheel is not safe to ride. and shipping even at 18lbs roughly, still is odd sized so = costly somewhat. usable parts are rear tire/tube ( presta valve ), front wheel/tire/tube, front and rear shimano 105 calipers/pads, 2 gear shimano 105 crank. rear derraileur, and the time trial bars withshifters/armrests. i want to ride that bike 1 more time but that crack to me says you MIGHT get 1 ride out of it or maybe not. it could fail at the wrong time causing a bad day
