if that motopig had a valid title it wasnt worth 2500. true one could get a builders title, but it would never be what it once was. it would be titled " special construction" in most locales

I dunno what that deal with the rebel is. The 250 has the exact same motor as the nighthawk. But the nighthawk runs great and the rebel - well does not.

lmfao buddah maybe he is foreign or something... send him a email letting him know that he sounds like a jack A$$ lol

The Buddha

Yea they dont have spell check  :technical:

PS: And sadly I have had very very very little luck educating people on anything. I cant even tell people they have the stuff they are trying to sell pictured upside down.
Just about all I have been able to do is tell people that I can test the stuff out to let them know if it works - usually this is for audio equipment for which they have a deep attachment. Like Reels with their grandpa's voice on it or some weird speakers that they dont have wiring connectors for etc etc ...

The Buddha

Sub ... what sub ... better spill the beans, how much, what power ... BTW have you checked this bugger out -
OK ebay - this bugger - Behinnger iNuke.
That one - the 3000 watt version in a cabinet with a 4 pack of 18" peavey down firing subs would simply put, send an earthquake into the hood you think ?

BTW any experience with that ? you know someone who's run it ?

its a advent  ASW 1200 i was asking 200 or best offer.. ass hole emailed me an told me they go for 50 bucks when you can find them on amazon and ebay for 250 + s&h lol

as far as the nuke no have not heard of that.. looks insane man, they also have a 6000 thousand man and its super light wieght lol... i still got the old scool reciver that weights alsmot 50 pounds man and that little bugger is only 7 pounds  :icon_eek:
By the way im more into car audio then home theater man.

The Buddha

Ooo advent 1200 - great - OK nothing on fleabay.

Anyway the old receivers have monster hear sinks and ridiculous transformers, both of which the nuke doesn't have. It also doesn't have the huge ass front facia and the ridiculous cabinet. Seriously the power supply is a smps, the efficiency is nearly 96% and the thing has no controls and no tuna nor front face. The thing is supposed sound great, and the yclaim its very rugged and durable - I need verification on that.

You could put a nice 5.1 preamp in front of it and run the 3000 in the front, the 1000 in the rear and a bridged 3000 as a sub and maybe a bridged 1000 for the center. In any case in 2 channel stereo it should be unbeatable too.

What old 50 lb receiver you have ?

I have like a 100 of em, pioneer everything ... I've owned every 50 series except a 1050 @ some point in the last 2 yrs, tons of kenwood, sansui, yamaha, oink etc etc.

lol i just got rid of a kenwood, i have a sony that came with a plasma that i got for free... lol

and im trying to get my hands on my step dads pioneer receiver. not sure on the model or wattage but i think its around 2000 watts or something like that....

(by the way, i may have exaggerated a bit on the 50 punds more like 25 lol )

and as far as 7 punds being durable i highly doubt that lol i dont see that happening man.

I have pulled several amps apart, eliminate the trafo, the face plate the case and cut the heat sinks by 75% and get rid of the massive input panel and the tuner gang garbage and an old amp wont weigh 3lb.
That 7 lb is not bad atall, when you consider the car amps are not much heavier and they have to convert dc into ac.
Trust me, old amps have a lot of weight in them that is just that, dead weight. Pioneer IMHO was the biggest offender for size, and sansui is the biggest offender in terms of weight, cos they made the crap out of steel.
Lighter dont mean less durable, a smps is extremely durable, its a question of managing the weight properly. A gs lasts longer than an old shovel head, but that bugger is 3X the weight. Heavy monstrous parts with shiteety tolerance = blown up often.

Send me some model #'s.

On the iNuke 6000

Behringer NU6000 iNUKE 6000W Lightweight Power Amplifier
Behringer has spent years fine-tuning the high-density Class-D technology that gives the iNUKE Series its oomph. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, these amps react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. The revolutionary high-density Class-D technology combined with ultra-efficient switch-mode power supplies ensures these feather-light powerhouses will drive your rig effortlessly for many years to come.

When this amazing amplifier technology is combined with our state-of-the-art switching-mode power supplies, these amplifiers provide tremendous punch. And because they are so much more efficient than conventional designs, they run cooler and don't require the massive heat sinks and heavy toroid transformers typically associated with their conventional counterparts.

The front panel controls and indicators provide your system's vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with Signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as clip LEDs to indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the input signal.

The rear panel is just as elegant, with combo XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors making the iNUKE compatible with virtually any source, balanced or unbalanced. Professional twist-lock speaker sockets are provided to ensure every drop of output power gets to your loudspeakers. The rear panel is also where you'll find the switches that enable iNUKE amps to work in either dual mono, stereo or mono bridge mode. A built-in crossover switch enables the amp to operate in biamp mode, sending low frequency content to passive subwoofers, while the high frequency output is channeled to full range loudspeakers.

Sporting massive output ratings, lightweight Class-D technology, an equally lightweight price tag, and all the amenities a professional audio engineer could ask for, Behringer iNUKE amplifiers are serious amps for the most demanding applications.

Specifications: • Output power (stereo): 1,500 watts x 2 (8 ohms), 3,00 watts x 2 (4 ohms) • Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz, +0/-2 dB • Damping factor: >140 @ 8 ohms • S/N ratio: >100 dB • Power supply: 120V~, 60 Hz • Dimensions: Approx. 3.7" H x 19" W x 12.2" D • Weight: 11.7 lbs.

That is the write up from parts-express. No reviews on it yet. It is that new
I have 1/2 a mind to buy one of these it does have a warranty so you can run it WFO all day and complain if it blows up. I think ebay had a few even cheaper than PE. Bloody hell I better do it. Except I cant imagine buying the 6000, what a ridiculous power output for a home sub. WTF will you do for speakers. Some 18" car ones, except they sound like garbage. You have to suggest me some norway, 15-18" nice sounding high power and high spl monsters.

CV - muhahaha ... JBL's that dont kill tweeters.

JBL's are IMHO some of the most over rated POS'es out there. The highly regarded L series, L100's, L80's L 60's L 150's whatever, never seen a set wiht working tweeters. Worse yet, I dont know why they're that way, they have ceramic tweets like many manufacturers, including onkyo used in the old days, those dont kill tweets.

Anyway the absloute holy grail of the old speakers is the old school EV/JBL/Altec/Klipsch and more, they mostly were made out of EV components. massive metal mid range horns, huge cast frame woofers and the very very nice T350 tweeter. Or the 2 ways klipsch made using a deeper mid range horn. Those KHorns are a good example.

Oh dude before you buy stuff let me know, there are a good many fools in your area who sell trash for big $, and apparently are succesful @ it, well in my area too. That fool with his picture in all the CL ad's - yea he even looks like Billy Mays. But there always are people who think they can fool others and people who themselves have been fooled. The crooked and the clueless.

lol i think im one of those crooks.. i have sold stuff to ppl that i almost could not keep a straight face on haha
but when i try to be legit i get no where man its like a curse...

but JBL rocks im step dad got two 15s and some other stuff to go along with that receiver i was telling you about. i just cant remember the parts number or watts gonna have to look into that since you sparked my curiosity lol

as far as tweeters go... i have no frikin clue man, i know a little about the in car tweets as in if its a component system it will be louder then just the built in tweeter crap that you see on most speakers lol

The Buddha

He he, it is hard being legit.

JBL is pretty decent performing stuff, especially the professional grade woofers are phenomenal, however they put a titanium or a ceramic dome tweeter in some of their old stuff that must have had some design flaw in its crossover or something. They burn up. BTW JBL also intentionally voiced their assembled speakers to be flat on the mid range. Its bass and treble. No mids.

Of course you build a system with JBL components then obviously your design of cross over etc would take precedence.

I know nothing of car audio, all this is house audio.

So after looking into the wanted to buy section i found a guys looking for "haunted items...." bahahah
dude long story shot, i made up this retarded story about how shaZam! was moving around my house blah blah blah... and sold the camera to retard for 120 bucks lol...

I would like to see someone beat that ha!
