also im a huuuuge gas mizer    my bike got 60.6mpg on its first fill up...
how much will this kit affect my mpg

By running the appropriate grade gas in the bike (I.e., regular) you'll save far more over time than the richer mix will burn.  With just those jets what are we talking, 2% reduction in economy to have the bike running the way it ought have from the factory?

so this jet kit im assuming "richens" it up a touch?  that would most likely

Right ... we replace the 130 mains with 132.5. The 17.5 pilots with 20's and the 2.5 turn mix screws with 3 and lift the needle 1-2 mm.

How did we arrive @ that formula. Well the 01+ forumula is a GSTwin cooperative effort - there was piper5177, pantablo and a few more who tried different settings and ended up at the above numbers.

However The 89-00 setup upon which the 01+ setup is based - was invented by the buddha. And this is how the buddha invented it.
The buddha looked in the manual in 1995 and saw that in canada they put 40 pilots and 125 mains. They also had needles with grooves in them, and they set mix screws @3. So buddha copied it and decided to sell that. Whooo hooo ... All my best ideas are in the manual. Float check U tube method - clymer manual, more stuff I cant remmeber.
