Im looking to put the yosh slip on on my gs500f I guess my question is if I put it on and it doesent pass inspection the only way to put the stock pipe on is to weld?? kind of a pain..

A minor pain, and very easy for someone who has some experience.  Your local muffler shop can do that in a heartbeat, and not too expensive, either.
