I need to know where would you set the wheel on an extended swingarm so I can custom cut the chain. Would you set it in the middle or closer to the front so you can adjust later for chain stretch or alignment?

Probably closer to the front... I haven't done that myself but it seems like that'd be the best thing to do, otherwise you'll have a chain that gets stretched too long prematurely.

+1. The chain will always wear and "stretch" and you will have the room to adjust it.

Stretched swingarm? For what, the 500?

Just take the chain length into account. 130 links are easy to come by, anything longer and it will take some searching.

I'm getting a swinger stretched for one of the GR's and I told the guy to go with whatever he felt comfortable with. Stock chain is 104 links with a 38 tooth rear sprocket. He finished the swinger and it was 4.5" longer and I have a 45 tooth sprocket mounted up.......ends up being 126 links or something. I got lucky on that one.

I think have more than enough links. I got a 140. stretch is 6" and running 15t front with stock 39t rear. I just need to position wheel and cut.
