Turkey Basters SUCK!

So, I was using the turkey baster method to test my carbs. Ran out of fuel and instead of pouring some out of the fuel tank into a bucket I decided to put the baster in the tank to suck some out. Stupid me it was a little short and my hand slipped and dropped it in the tank!

What a horrible experience by the time I got it out 2+ hours the gas had started eating at the rubber bulb and now I have rubber pieces in my tank!

shoulda ran to the kitchen and grabbed some tongs

Yup ended up doing that too. Except tongs were about a 1/4 of an " to short and had to bend the handles to get at it. We thought by filling it up that it would float to the top and get it but when we filled it up it sank to the bottom so drain the tank and finally got it out with the tongs.
