hahaha sorry didnt wanna bump a dead post on my wipe Weds morning.

Went to the salvage yard (only 2nd time there) didnt know they gut the bikes almost as soon as they get them and situate them in a warehouse in bins.
Therefore I didnt have my parts with me to compare.

Headlight bucket was $50... Noty!!
Headlight rim $20 but I gotta take it back Monday as its not the right one.

Had a little trouble getting the correct handlebars and even the ones I picked out I was unsure of. (if they were the same as stock)

Luckily when I got home and compared, they were an exact match but chrome vs my old black ones.
was off a suzuki 1974 something (cleaned the writing off)

2.5 hrs to swap and all is good again
Still gonna stop by a shop and have it looked at tho.

Oddly tho, after the wipe it seemed to run better.
didnt push it with bent handlebars tho.

took it for a spin after swapping the bars and making sure everything was right.
few rounds around the house slowly to be cautious.

then took it out on the road.

Opened her up after about a 5 mile steady ride and WOW, seems to have a more noticeable pick up and go.
nothing major as if something was wrong (might be tho, i'll be observant of it for awhile)
but enough for even a new rider like me to notice.

IF nothing bad happened, then wiping mighta been a good thing and knocked some gunk loose.
Hope thats simply the case.

But, Back on the road for my 4 days off now

mind isnt always all there after working all night... actually it never is haha

gonna have to ask the guy at the junk yard Monday if he looked the correct part up when I asked if he had any Trip knobs.
Cause he then told me, $90 and I gotta order it. (yes thats Ninety dollars)
Dunno how he coulda looked it up wrong, what else can be confused with a Trip Knob?

checked it out when I got home, its only $6 OEM online.
