Where are the carb synch points on an 05 GS500F?

The manual I printed off from online shows the mount points for the carb synch tool at the top of the carb which isn't the case for this model. Where do the hoses go on the 05 carbs?




Every time I look at this bike now it seems I find something else missing from the previous owner. It looks like there is supposed to be something connecting the carbs at this point? Can I use some hosing or something at this point?

on my gs500 k4 model the carb sync point on the left hand carb is very hard to see when the carbs are on the bike let a lone get to, i had to take the whole carbs off to get to it. i cant see it in your photos but its under the choke mechanism and on the left hand carb, it should have a little black cap over it with a clip on it. with mine the heat glued the cap on there and it broke when i took it off. had to replace with a bit of tubing and a bolt in the end. the right hand carb sync point is in on the right hand side of the right carb with a tube on it, looks the same as the other side but with a tube on the end. if i can find a picture i will post it.

also the bit your missing is essentially the brown connector bit beneath the missing bit in the bottom photo. but its normally black. it is a 3 way connector which your meant to have a tube on, it doesnt connect to anything and i think its like a breather hose or something to let gas escape (complete guess) . not 100% what it does, someone more experienced will tell you what it does and how essential it is.
