So, eventually I want to buddha jet and lunchbox the girl, and have a nice free flowing exhaust to go along with it.

but, I want it to be as quiet or quieter then stock.

So, I was thinking I can make a stock can off another bike work, any bike really, that has a larger exhaust diameter, and as long as it isnt too beat up, itll also look nice?

Bad idea?

They all seem to be a bigger diameter, and with some fiddling around would work just fine.

Yes, no?

BTW other motivation is cheapness. Low sound level is required for my apartment, cheapness is required for swmbo! :thumb:

My first muffler was from a Yamaha R1.A little more quite than stock,IMHO and flowed better than the GS.All you need is an adapter to fit the header pipe to the new exhaust pipe. The one pictured has a stainless steel pipe from the factory.

I don't have it.I sold it to a member on here and don't remember which member.I believe it was a 99 R1.
