Is this top case too heavy for the GS frame?

I'm considering mounting a top case to my 2008 F so I can leave my gear with the bike when I ride to work. I considered the Pelican cases but don't like the plastic padlock hoops for urban use. So I'm considering this one from Happy Trail:

I need the space for packing my jacket, overpants and boots (helmet goes in helmet lock), but at 15 lbs I'm wondering whether this would put too much strain on the frame. I wouldn't be carrying anything in the box while riding, it's just for storing gear when I get where I'm going. I'd be using the Motech Alu-rack together with the quick-release mounting brackets from TwistedThrottle. Would the GS be able to hold the weight?

The GS500 subframe is capable of supporting the full weight of a person. Unless you plan to carry 200lbs of cargo, I think you should be fine.

(Be aware that top-cases can do a number to the aerodynamics and weight distribution of a motorcycle. The fact that the GS500 can support 200lbs of cargo doesn't mean that it's necessarily safe to put it there.)

I guess I was thinking more about the weight capacity of the Motech rack, not the actual bike's frame. The specs for the rack says it can only hold 5 kg, which is why I was wondering about installing a 15 lb. case. I'm wondering if that much weight would put too much strain at the points where it's bolted on. May end up skipping the top-case anyway, going the take-the-gear-with-you rout instead. All hard motorcycle luggage is pretty easy to break into, after all.
