Okay, so I know that almost everyone with a GS has done this, but I feel like showing mine off. I had the rear end torn apart to replace the tire, chain, and sprockets anyway, so I started cutting while waiting for parts.  I mounted the license plate frame on the plastic trim under the tail so that I could cut more of the fender, and still maintain the tool bag section.  To mount the lights, i notched out those little triangular walls of where the tool bag once lived. it fit perfectly under the tail piece.

thanks everyone! i just wanted to show everyone what i thought up without ordering new lights, brackets, etc etc. this was completely free. I'm not sure what to do about the reflectors yet. I might reposition the bracket to line it up with the cargo bar as I have seen on here before. I might just leave it stock. I'll have to take some more detailed photos as well, as opposed to the cell phone quality.
