I once replaced my stock air filter with an aftermarket one (trying to save a few bucks).  The bike ran like crap because the new filter did not breath as well (ironic, isn't it?).  Now I'm rejetted (Dynojet Stage 3) and have a K&N lunchbox in place of the stock airbox, and all is well.  I was really surprised as the difference that a subtle change in the air filter can make (stock to aftermarket) if the jetting is off to begin with.

i got the filter on the bike and wow...what difference shes running again but somethings definitely off...not sure if its lean or rich....after it warms up the idle dies down a bit and when i try to give it throttle it dies....flooding or to lean ????...

Check your plugs, you're looking for a coffee with cream color. Darker than that is too rich, lighter is too lean. If your plugs are wet, your bike is flooding and I would check your float heights (there's an awesome how to page for that somewhere on the gstwin site). If they're too high, take them out and set it somewhere between 14 and 15 mm. It's worth a shot to check your valve clearances too, if they're too tight your bike will have a hard time idling properly and might cause that idle-die-down when you first start your bike. If your bike is running lean I'm stumped lol. My bike is having similar issues with running lean, I'm about to start a tread for it. Hope you get it figured out! :D
