Low bars and throttle cable

I've noticed a limit to how low I can lower my bars, without having the throttle cable bend enough that it siezes up resulting in the throttle handgrip 'siezing' or moving slowly. This effect changes with turning bars to left and right lock. Plus the untidy cables that weere meant to sit a few inches higher tend to look a bit sloppy, on both sides.

Do they need to be shortened appropriately?

Andrew.

They may need shortened. Have you tried routing them differently? Sometimes that will take up the slack. There are ways to shorten your own cables (can't find the link right now......) but I've never personally done it. If you contact Motion Pro they can make custome length cables too. They are big $$$ compared to stock replacements but are guaranteed for life.

My clip ons are fairly low and I have no issues with throttle cable bind.I did have to reroute the cable to prevent binding. It maybe time to lube the cable and throttle tube.
PICS are GONE never TO return.
