exhaust question

mmmm yeah what iclrag said...

in some ways (far as i know anyway) zorst is zorst! ... however if you do a search or 2 on the site you will probably find that with changes in exhaust (and pressures/flow etc) also may require some re-jetting to be done.. though this is more for changing the filter to a K&N plus exhaust ... full run at it kinda thing..

if you can match the pipe size with a collar or similar so it doesnt leak and sound crap AND mount it securely then you can put it on for sure... whether its suitable!?!?.. who knows.. you'd be best checking on the manufacturers website for compatibility i guess.

if its just for looks and cos it was cheap or whatever then as long as it doesnt harm your performance .. or you dont mind if it does .. then just fit that sucker on there!...

it probably wont make the bike any faster/more powerful just as a "lookit i got!" item though ..

also noise levels/pitch may sound mega cool when it was on 1000cc of horizon missile .. but not as much effect on the gs500 ... i'm pretty sure most zorst places will do at least a little work on matching the can to the intended bike to maximise the "oooh cool I like that sound" factor .. oh and also to benefit power etc..

its a stock r1 pipe i was just going to put on to replace mu currentbwich pretty banged up. just for looks but i dont want to mess up anything or require rejetting

If you're on stock jets now, your bike would be very happy with a re-jet anyways.. These things run lean from the factory.

Bigger pipe means more air flow, which means a bigger main jet (150+). Someone else on here did an R6? exhaust. It kind of looks upside down right?

My slip on is for an R6. I think it was for an '02. I did have to modify the mid pipe some.
